Although they are a relatively new addition to the New York tattoo community, opening their doors in October of 2016, Fleur Noire stands out with their absolute appreciation for inclusivity and diversity. While upholding the incredibly high standards necessary for a stunning and successful shop, they make sure to support avant-garde and experimental tattoo artists and styles, as well as traditional techniques and designs. Set in Williamsburg, a popular Brooklyn borough that hosts incredible fare and fun, Fleur Noire is the perfect spot to get yourself something special.
The resident artists of Fleur Noire are a perfect example of the wide reaching variety that this shop represents. Laura Martinez, co-owner, hails from Paris, France where she graduated with a Masters degree in design. Her style is delicate, geometric, and she often designs pieces especially for her clients giving them a highly personal touch. Burak Moreno, also co-owner, was born and raised in Istanbul. From dotwork, to surrealism, and even watercolor, his work is highly distinctive. Andres Bello, another resident artist, is from Colombia and has been tattooing a classic dark illustrative style at the shop since it opened.
Fleur Noire is the shop where you are guaranteed to not only get what you want, but you'll have an incredibly welcoming and unforgettable experience. For some, getting a tattoo is a quick pull from a flash sheet...and although this shop can definitely serve that need, it's also a place where you can get something unique. The artists here are supported not only through their diverse experience and background, but through their dedication to creating a progressive atmosphere within the tattoo community. Their resident artists, guest artists, flash events, and more are all examples of their positive influence within the New York tattoo community. If you're looking for something special, then this is the place.
