Akuma Shugi wins it with Japanese style with a Western spin. And oh, you have to check out his cat tattoos.
The artist, who goes by the name Akuma Shugi tattoos at Wolf & Dagger in Hove, UK. He's been tattooing for four years now and no doubt, we want to see him progress even more!
His style is something we would describe as Japanese with a Western spin.
The 26-year-old artist finds most of his inspiration from Japanese culture; animé, traditional art, Japanese films, and the likes of them. Even before he got into tattooing, his fascination with the Japanese art and culture has always been present.
In college, he took up media studies, graphic design, illustration, and animation. All of which contributed to his career later as a tattoo artist.
Tattooing wasn't really among his original plan, and only got into it by chance. But it's not like he'd have it any other way. And we don't either!
He's a self-taught artist but he recommends a professional apprenticeship to anyone looking to start a tattoo career.
And here's our favourite part as promised, cat tattoos!
Blown away by this chest piece. Surely, one of my favourites of his.
He's not one to say no every now and then to other styles, either.
When he's not in the studio or drawing up a storm, he can be found reading manga and watching animé and Asian films. It's how he usually sparks up ideas for new projects.
