If you felt kinda left out with our post featuring Mad Max actor Tom Hardy, then here’s another reason for you to watch the film already.
Have you seen some of the gorgeous women of ‘Mad Max: Fury Road’? Oh, it’s only Abby Lee Kershaw, Zoë Kravitz, Courtney Eaton, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Riley Keough.
The quintet plays sister-wives to villain Immortan Joe. They were captured by the warlord for the sole purpose of breeding. How awful is that. These apocalyptic belles are what you have to watch out for in between the action-packed scenes. Having no one else but their creepy warlord husband, the girls formed a tight bond with each other—both on and offscreen.
(We don't know which one yet is the tattoo the five girls all got, but here are the two possibilities.)
Courtney Eaton, who plays the part of Fragile, revealed that she and the rest of the girls have gotten matching tattoos to celebrate the friendship they've formed throughout filming. She told Vanity Fair, “We all got the same tattoo—three little dots and a triangle.” While Riley Keough shared with Glamour, "After we wrapped, we all got real matching dot tattoos. I miss being there!"
Most of them have yet to release a picture of the said tattoo to give us all a peek. We've only seen Zoë Kravitz's to confirm that is indeed a triangle and some dots. (Bummer, I know. Stop throwing your popcorn at me.) But as consolation, we present you with the other tattoos these girls have.
Let's start with 'Splendid', Rosie Huntington-Whiteley. She first showed up a couple years ago in Rodeo Drive with a small hummingbird tattoo on her wrist.
She also has a small heart on her hand and a small star on her foot.
Elvis Presley's granddaughter Riley Keough, who plays 'Capable, reportedly has four tattoos—a Mayan Calender sign, symbol for a tarot card called The Hanged Man, a Gemini Symbol and Led Zeppelin’s four-elements.
And finally the lovable 'Toast', played by Zoë Kravitz. Among all of them, Zoë is the most tattooed. Not only that but she does have some good taste in choosing the artists to do the job. Let's have a look, shall we?
Early this year, she got a soaring eagle tattoo by none other than Dr. Woo of Shamrock Social Club.
The 'Free At Last' in script style she has on her left forearm is a reference to Martin Luther King's "I Have A Dream".
She has another in script which is the name Lola, for her half-sister Lola Iolani Momoa.
She has many other random tattoos like these on her body, you can view the rest of the known ones here.
Zoë has a quote translated in Arabic tattooed on her shoulder blade, which is apparently grammatically incorrect. It says, "Let love rule."
One which I really liked among her many tattoos is an excerpt taken from Charles Baudelaire's poetry. It says, “être toujours ivre," which means, "always be drunk".
Abbey Lee Kershaw, who stars as "The Dag", has already expressed her love for tattoos before. Read more about it here.
Unfortunately, Courtney Eaton doesn't have any other tattoos. But we hope she adds to her first one soon!
