Third Tats & Tails Event at Grit N Glory Another Huge Success

Another fun-filled day of animals, tattoos, and raising awareness with Megan Massacre & the ASPCA goes off without a hitch.

You may have read our article about Tats N Tails — the brainchild of Megan Massacre and the Grit N Glory gang in partnership with the ASPCA to help raise money, find homes, and build awareness for animals in need. Since the event’s fruition in June of 2016, the Tats N Tails flash day has gained tons of speed, found homes for dozens of animals, and raised close to $10,000 for the ASPCA.

We went to the first, we went to the second, and after how much of a fucking blast we had at those — there was no way we were missing the third... And let us just tell you, we were not disappointed.

Megan Massacre and the GnG gang, armed with the cutest animal-themed flash sheets and custom tees made especially for the day, opened their doors right at noon to a line of eager customers wrapped around the block. These loyal patrons had been waiting hours for not only the chance to donate to a good cause, but for the opportunity to snag an affordable tattoo from some of their favorite, most sought-after artists. At just $100 a pop, it didn’t take long for the list to grow and for machines to start buzzing.

With the flash event taking place inside the shop, outside were a slew of adorable cats and dogs available for adoption. ASPCA volunteers paraded pups around the block and allowed visitors into their cat-van for potential pet owners to meet and greet all the fur babies.

After powering through tattoo after tattoo, the day ended with five animals finding their fur-ever homes and hundreds of dollars raised between tattoos, merch and online sales — all of which went directly to the ASCPA. A huge congratulations and accolades to the Grit n Glory crew for another successful event and job well done.
