January 31st, 2020 - 11pm - at Saint Vitus
1120 Manhattan Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11222
On January 31st, Five Points Tattoo will be hosting a Benefit Party and Raffle for the foundation True South. Known for helping those who have been seriously injured in motorcycle or bicycle accidents, True South regularly brings communities together in order to create support for people who need it most, both monetarily and emotionally. "True South is dedicated to helping those in our community that have been involved in motorcycle or bicycle accidents and need assistance when out of work. We offer assistance to help in the recovery process both financial and beyond. We were founded to create support and funds by using the gifts and talent within our community's vast resources for aid without having to put a financial strain on personal finances. We began by simply creating T-shirt designs to raise funds...we constantly strive to be creative and open to our communities gifts to better serve those in need."
Recently True South came to the assistance of Robert Nelson, a tattoo apprentice, who was injured in a motorcycle accident putting a stall on his work. In thanks, Five Points Tattoo is rounding up the tattoo community to participate in a benefit party and raffle to ensure that True South can continue doing their incredibly supportive work. There will be raffles to win prizes as well as an auction to win original works of art from some industry leaders. Contributors include Chris Garver, Chris Nunez, Justin Weatherholtz, Paul Dobleman, and many more. There will also be music from Ugly Mutts and DJ sets by Omni Assembly. Held within the Brooklyn nightlife staple Saint Vitus, make sure you stop by to enjoy some funky tunes while helping raise funds for a good cause!
