Tubby Little Cubby Full 'o' Fluff: Winnie the Pooh Tattoos

Tattoo Ideas1 min Read

If you haven't seen the new Winnie the Pooh movie by now, that's okay. These Winnie the Pooh tattoos will suffice.

Deep in the hundred acre wood where Christopher Robin plays you will find the enchanted neighborhood of Christopher's childhood days. A donkey named Eeyore is his friend and Kanga and little Roo. There's Rabbit and Piglet and there's Owl but most of all Winnie the Pooh. Tubby little cubby all stuffed with fluff. He's Winnie the Pooh. Willy nilly silly old bear. Here's some Winnie the Pooh tattoos! ...if you haven't already realized it those are the lyrics to one of the most nostalgic songs out there. Sung during the opening of the Disney cartoon, this collection is sure to hit ya in the feels.

Published in 1926, the first book of Winnie the Pooh was pretty much an instant hit and went on to see a few more volumes. The book, and the subsequent cartoon, have been translated into numerous languages, which is perhaps why so many people around the world know the cute little bear and his friends. It was in 1961 that Disney acquired the rights and since 1966 the animation powerhouse has released tons of different productions starring Winnie the Pooh and company. This includes the most recent hit 2018's Christopher Robin starring Ewan McGregor in the lead role. The film served up a whole lotta nostalgia, and some charmingly hilarious moments, and surely inspired more sticky sweet Winnie the Pooh tattoos.

As much as you love the lil bear, believe it or not the film was blocked from release in China due to some comparisons between Winnie and Chinese leader Xi Jinping. Apparently the sweetest bear ever, besides Paddington of course, has become a symbol of resistance against the Communist party. John Oliver, Last Week Tonight's show host, poked fun at Jinping for being intimidated by a bear..and also noticed their physical similarities. This resulted in China blocking HBO amidst a tummy full of giggles. We advise them to chill out, pick up a copy of The Tao of Pooh, and immerse themselves in these love filled Winnie the Pooh tattoos. We promise they'll be more centered after that.
