Walk This Earth With Good Intentions: Foot Tattoos

Tattoo Ideas2 min Read

What do you want to say to the world as you walk around from day to day? Well, maybe let your radicle foot tattoos do the talking., heads up, foot tattoos hurt. In fact, they're one of the most painful tattoos you can get. Like, if your arm is on the possible pain spectrum of, metaphorically, running with two pairs of scissors...well, then getting your foot tattooed is like..again, metaphorically...climbing Mount Everest with a swimsuit on.

While we're on the subject of pain, however, with this collection of foot tattoos we included not just the dorsum, which is actually the part of the foot that faces is up when standing, but also pieces done on the planum, the area that faces down when standing. We think you can probably guess that getting the planum inked is...brutal. Like...just imagine if you've ever stepped on a nail, or a piece of know, you're skipping along your favorite sandy beach in the Bahamas when all of a sudden: WAM! Tiny sharp sea rock stabs you in the planum.

Painful as they may be, these foot tattoos will give you some ideas to decorate an oft overlooked area that should be heralded. After all, for those of us who have full use of these little babies, they carry us all over the world. Our feet are usually our direct connection to the Earth as we walk around day to day. And they help us get where we want to go, be it near or far. Especially as many tattoo artists and collectors are known to go to great distances to share and take part in this wonderful art form, our feet are a huge part of that journey, and we should show our appreciation for them by giving them tattoos that totally celebrate all the cool places they take us.

In this collection we have some Traditional foot tattoos as well as some Neo Tribal and Blackwork foot tattoos that include really intricate ornamentalism and pattern work. Using lines and dots to create a beautiful arrangement that highlights one of our favorite body parts...because, after all, we feel like people don't often take the jump on this one. And we'd love to see more feet tattoos skipping around these lovely planet.
