Randy Orton has been in the WWE for a long, long, long time. He's been a mainstay of the squared circle and has amassed quite a resumé in his tenure with the company. Plus, he's got the coolest nicknames in all of sports entertainment. "The Viper" and "The Apex Predator." Come on. Those are two of the most badass nicknames ever, and they both belong to one guy.
Well, Orton also has a plethora of tattoos that have a special meaning. Also, some of them don't. Orton is an interesting dude and the stories behind his tattoos are just as compelling as his in-ring work.
Orton was once a member of the Marine Corps and had a tattoo to commemorate the stint on his shoulder. He was relieved of his duties in the service due to his bad temperament, and received a bad conduct discharge for disobeying orders and going absent without leave on two occasions.
Orton has gotten the old USMC tattoo covered up since then with elaborate sleeves, and a Bible verse that reads, "Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour."
The only part of Orton's sleeves with any color is a tattoo dedicated to his daughter, Alanna. The rose tattoo includes his daughter's name and the year she was born in Roman numerals.
As for the rest of his tattoos, The Viper is very mysterious. "As far as the meaning, I don't want to tell everyone what it means. They can look, they can enjoy them, but the meaning is for me."
As for the tribal tattoos that adorn his body, Orton has quite an interesting story to go with their meaning.
"The tribal work I had before had no meaning behind it. No meaning whatsoever."
Oh. I guess not.
The latest tattoo Orton had done was the finger tattoo dedicated to his wife, Kim Kessler. He got her name with a heart next to it, and she got Randy's name with a heart. The couple is expecting their first child together, so I would expect to see some more ink dedicated to family on Orton's body.
There are many levels to Randal Keith Orton, and the master of the RKO shows it off via his ink. He looks intimidating, while maintaining what is important to him with his tattoos.
