Are you into traditional western tattoos?
If you are and have been following tattoo blogs around the web in recent years, you have definitely been exposed to the work of Kirk Jones. His style of tattooing is reminiscent of the old school nautical style with a twist of his own. Ranging from galleons, light houses, roses and classic girl heads as tattoo subject matter, Jones is always active in the tattoo scene dishing out solid tattoos and beautiful art at the same time.
Without further adue, here are some of Kirk Jones' Art and tattoo works:

He is known for nautical tattoo subject matter. Simple yet strikingly elegant.

Freshly done pair on a clients thighs. You can see his knowledge in traditional tattooing reflected in his work.

His tattooing style has such a clean and smooth look to it, he makes good use of both fine and bold lining.

Mandalas that are juxtaposed into the traditional style, I would say, is one of those distinguishing features of Jones' work.

The classic look and the way he draws his tattoos, such as the Eagle, combined with his mastery of his own style, sets his work apart from other modern tattooers who also take on the traditional Americana style.

A closer look on one of his Mandalas. I love the way he incorporates it to subjects such as daggers and leaves.

Again, the Mandala style blossoms with a dagger and a light house.

Bearded gent smoking his pipe, freshly done.

Beautifully done galleon tattoo. So much detail in an average sized piece but he still manages to pull off that simplistic look we all love about the traditional style.

Cobra and dagger in a cup. Notice how he loves to incorporate sceneries in small spaces such as the one he did this tattoo.

Hot air balloon, again images in small spaces, the rose and blossom.
