Think you've seen it all? This isn't entirely new nor is it the most extreme procedure of its kind but it's not very common. Mainly because not a lot of people is willing to blacken their whole arms for a faint and obscure image taking up most of the space of their arms. But those who do appreciate the inverse effect of these portraits go through the prolonged and rigorous process to complete it.

The main procedure involves tattooing the client a massive negative space which will become the canvas of the scarification work as soon as the sleeve heals. Most of these blackwork skin carvings accentuate portraits meant to mimic inverse effect photography.

It actually looks quite incredible once it heals up.

Aside from carving portraits into blackwork sleeves, Brenyak also tried rubbing in excessive amounts of ink onto fresh scarification pieces resulting into darkened and more pronounced scars.

Sure looks more painful than it needs to be but that doesn't mean you should be bringing this up with just about any body modification artist anytime soon. It's risky and you gotta make sure you choose an artist who knows what he's doing. We're serious.
