Start of a cover-up today with this skull and crossbones tattoo, more to go. Liked the look of some flesh in the hands (tendons, veins) so we went with it. Smoke and background to be added. Close up of some work in progress, finished piece will be revealed late March. Custom celtic. Client came in with the idea, and this is what I came up with. The plaid is his family kilt pattern, cricket for his daughter, and bear shaped scenery for his son. Cover-up of some KanjiAdded some watercolor flowers around the old tattoo (birds) to make it nicer :)Skeleton with flower petals back in a subtle halo. Fine line shading with quite some details in a small area. It hold quite some meaning for the client, glad I’m able to capture them with the expression of it thru the body language of the skeleton and somehow dramatic expressive petals of the flower.
