It reads "Further up, Further in." It's from the Chronicles of Narnia. It is a reminder that no matter my mood or how anxious I am, I need to keep pressing on and not quit. It got infected so some of the ink didn't take. But I decided I rather like it this way.My tattoos are almost all mental health related. (I struggle with depression and anxiety. And have a history of self injury) My first series of tattoos were inspired by To Write Love On Her Arms, and is the word love in several languages. This is Hindi.I knew I was taking a risk getting a tattoo on this part of my finger. And it has faded. But the semicolon speaks to my mental health recovery. And the process of recovery is often worn and distressed, just like the tattoo.
... And the end of my To Write Love On Her Arms tattoo, Spanish and English.More of my To Write Love On Her Arms tattoo, here is Bengali and Swahili. This is my newest tattoo, I just got it a few weeks ago. But I LOVE it!!! It's just a reminder to myself that I am beautiful just the way I am.
