Dirk was born November 11th 1986, in San Louis Obispo, California. He enjoyed art all throughout school, after graduating high school in 2006, His curiosity for tattooing began. Known as a modern day MacGyver, it has been easy for him to figure out things that most people just do not understand. Dirk got his apprenticeship with Ink Masters Season 3 and 5's Joshua Hibbard, which lasted a few weeks before he was an actual artist in his shop. In 2011, Dirk was hired at Manakin Tattoo in Pismo Beach as a tattoo artist. While at Manakin he worked very closely to Joshua Hibbard in the ways of his art and technique. Living the shop life Dirk began taking care of anything and everything to help the shop, which led to his promotion of shop supervisor.
Dirk loves challenges in designing ideas and administering his body art onto the human body. Everyday he strives to do every tattoo better than any tattoo he has preformed before, adding artistic influence and elements to enhance a design to specifically adapt to its bearer, so that each tattoo is unique and special to everyone. Dirk specializes in High Saturated Color Realizm Art but is well rounded to preform any clean nicely applied tattoos of any sort and always ensures to leave every client very pleased.
