Armando was born with art in his blood. At the age of 6 his talent was evident in his drawings. As a child he escaped in his art, in particular, graphite pencil and pen drawings. In grade school and high school, Armando won several art contests that fueled his passion. Staying on the right path was not easy for Armando. In high school, he struggled avoiding negative influences. Staying on the right path meant more than staying out of jail for Armando. Staying out of trouble meant working for various employers. His artist talent became evident with each employer and he soon became resident artist at each of his employers. In 2012, Armando started Smoking Guns Art Studio, where he freelanced art work in all mediums, focusing on pencil and pen drawings and logos. With the dream of opening his own tattoo shop, it was during this time, he also began his first tattoo apprenticeship.
