Yggdrasil, the World Tree of Norse cosmology. Tattoo designed and drawn by me, tattooed by Jared at Standard Electric Tattoo in Lawrence, KSMuspelsheim and Nifleheim are depicted as the Sun and Moon, respectively. The rays of the sun are represented by Maðr (ᛘ) for Muspelsheim, and the rays of the moon are Nauðr (ᚾ) for Nifleheim. The names of each of the remaining seven worlds follow suit. Six are represented by boughs of the tree; Óss (ᛅ) for Ásgarðr, Úr (ᚢ) for Vanaheimr, Sól (ᛋ) for Svartálfaheimr, Lögr (ᛚ) for Ljósálfaheimr, Hagal (ᚼ) for Helheimr, and Is (ᛁ) for Jötunheimr. The trunk of Yggdrasil is marked with another Maðr rune, though this time for Miðgarðr: our home.In the Crown of Yggdrasil rests the Great Eagle, nameless to all. Beneath the Tree, and between its roots, coils the Great Serpent Niðhöggr. The roots of the Tree extend down, to connect to the branches of a bindrune; primarily it is the bindrune for the Skaldic band Wardruna, a symbol that stands for the name itself, which means "Warden of the Runes." This symbol is viewed right-side-up when Yggdrasil is viewed upside-down, as Óðinn would have seen when he hung from the Tree to gain his runes. Beneath the Wardruna bindrune, and attached to it's stem, is a smaller bindrune of my initials, done in Elder Futhark to match the runes of the Wardruna.#norsemythology #NorseTattoos #yggdrasil #nineworlds #vikingtattoo #viking #heathen #nidhoggr

A tattoo I designed and drew for my wife, to capture her love of Celtic culture (the triskele), the moon (tri-moon symbol), and the ocean (mermaid tail). Tattooed by Jared at Standard Electric Tattooing in Lawrence, KS#mermaid #tri-moon #pagan #triskele #celtic“The beet is the most intense of vegetables. The radish, admittedly, is more feverish, but the fire of the radish is a cold fire, the fire of discontent not of passion. Tomatoes are lusty enough, yet there runs through tomatoes an undercurrent of frivolity. Beets are deadly serious.Slavic peoples get their physical characteristics from potatoes, their smoldering inquietude from radishes, their seriousness from beets. The beet is the melancholy vegetable, the one most willing to suffer. You can't squeeze blood out of a turnip...The beet is the murderer returned to the scene of the crime. The beet is what happens when the cherry finishes with the carrot. The beet is the ancient ancestor of the autumn moon, bearded, buried, all but fossilized; the dark green sails of the grounded moon-boat stitched with veins of primordial plasma; the kite string that once connected the moon to the Earth now a muddy whisker drilling desperately for rubies. The beet was Rasputin's favorite vegetablThis tattoo follows the artstyle of Ringerike Viking art. This is typically seen in runestones of the 11th Century onward; animals are exceedingly curved and thin with almond-shaped eyes and thinner, longer tendrils. This particular tattoo took eleven redraws, to ensure that the body overlayed and underlaid properly. At no point is the over-under-over pattern broken. The runes, by pairs and starting from the head, chronicle every state and country that I have been to, in order, since my birth; Kansas, Missouri, Arkansas, Illinois, Indiana, Nebraska, Kentucky, Tennessee, Alabama, Mississippi, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Maryland, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Italy, France, Belgium, Delaware, Virginia, Louisiana, Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Ohio, and Indiana.Plenty of room has been left on the serpents body, as I've more places to go.Designed and drawn by me, tattooed by Jared at Standard Electric Tattooing in Lawrence, KS#vikingtattoo #viking #runestone #runestattoo #sunwheel The organic textures in the fluidity of the body refer to the sensation of naturalness and harmony that is experienced in the movement of our physical being. When we talk about fluidity in the body, we refer to the ability to perform smooth and coordinated movements, as if it were a dance. These organic textures are found in nature, like the flow of water, the movement of leaves in the wind, or the softness of sand on the beach.
In the practice of various artistic and sports disciplines, such as yoga, dance, meditation or tai chi, the aim is to cultivate this fluidity in the body, allowing a deeper connection with oneself and with the environment. By integrating these organic textures into our movements, we achieve greater body awareness and a sense of harmony and well-being

The process that surrounds the tattoo is as important as the tattoo process itself. For me it is an entire process to connect and prepare both of ourselves for the tattoo, part of the experience.... Keep creating, keep growing."Effect of the observer"The effect of the observer (the consciousness of the observer) is a group of hypotheses about the possibility of the observer influencing elementary particles. It goes back to the ideas of the creators of quantum mechanics, and is a consequence of the problem of measuring quantum effects. According to Bohr, without an observer, the surrounding reality is only a probabilistic form. Concrete reality appears only with the advent of the observer. Some scientists equate the observer, man, and human consciousness. So Werner Heisenberg in the book "Physics and Philosophy" mentions a subjective observer. John Wheeler states that: "Observers are needed to bring the universe into being."A strong tree for the side of your body. #tinytattoo #smalltattoo #treeOwls live within the darkness, which includes magic, mystery, and ancient knowledge. Related to the night is the moon, which owls are also connected to. It becomes a symbol of the feminine and fertility, with the moon's cycles of renewal. Even the mythology relates owl to this wisdom and femininity.-@kingfocustattoo #owl #owltattoo #bird #necktattoo #necktattoos #boyswithtattoosSaint Beatus of Liébana (c. 730 – c. 800) was a monk, theologian and geographer from the former Duchy of Cantabria and Kingdom of Asturias, in modern Cantabria, northern Spain, who worked and lived in the Picos de Europa mountains of the region of Liébana.
