"Octobear" "Richard was one of first scientists to work on Carkayous. He was fresh out of college and had been offered this job from an unknown company that lured him in with a hefty sign-on bonus and the promise of a tropical work location. When he initially arrived it seemed like a dream come true. The beaches were untouched by humanity, the jungles were pristine, and the abundance of abstract wild life was like nothing he had ever seen before.
