This one has a beautiful story. To make a long story short, my mom had cancer and I made this tattoo for her. There's a "V" on the phoenix' belly for "Vania" (my mother's name), "vida" ("life", in Portuguese) and "vitória" ("victory").The inspiration came from the song "The Wind Beneath my Wings", because my mom has always been the wind beneath my wings. She has always been there for me.Everything I am, I owe to her.

Bongostyle Maa Durga slaying Mahishasur ( buffalo demon) #bongostyletattoo is a custom tailored tattoo style that i have been developing for the past few years.the design style is a melting pot of influences and inspirations from various East Indian (mainly West Bengal and neighboring states) folk art and some contemporary artforms.the subject matter ranges from story telling to purely ornamental.i try to showcase either CONFLICT or COEXISTENCE in my designs , often taking inspiration from events described in various mythological scriptures and verses and stories that i have grown up hearing. This particular backpiece is a special one because as a Bengali , Maa Durga and her image in form of giant 30 foot clay idols to late great Jamini Roy s paintings , has been a constant source of power and inspiration , even to a lifelong atheist like myself, for Durga is not a goddess for us , she is one of us, part of the family , a culmination of everything that is good in us and everything This lighthouse I got for my wonderful mother, who has always been my guiding light.

I have been torn between the decision of excelling in this physical reality, and doing everything in my power to make my time here on Earth truly incredible. Or to dedicate my life to the exploration of the universe found within, however this would result in excluding myself off to the world around me. After trying the latter for a year I came to the realisation that I need to find a balance, I discovered that love is at the core of both paths but one cannot work without the other, there is a symbiosis at work. I need to find a way to do both…”– ElliotThank you Elliot for the beautiful thoughts, your trust and complete freedom with your idea! I grew up 50 meters away from this tree and therefore had the chance to see its majestic beauty evolve from season to season for more than 25 years. This tree can be seen from anywhere in a 10-mile radius and therefore brings me confidence and a sense of joy and peace as it reminds me of my days as a young and innocent girl who had ambitious dreams. It reminds me how far I have come to this day. It also reminds me of my Home, my Family, my Friends and my dear pets.” Done at the beautiful @southcitymarket-Finest black ink in London-Books open for LondonInquiries:peter.laeviv@gmail.com.....#tattoodo #sinFREEDOM BLADE/ Antoine came to the shop with this knife and a crazy story. Some scenarios become so important because of the feeling of nostalgia and happiness they can bring. The kitchen has always been a place where Talita and her mom connect, both love to cook and some of their best moments have been lived in spaces like this.
The time they lived together in Verona, Italy, was captured in this nostalgic scene... The bread her mums cooks placed beside her blue eye glasses on the table, the smell of Italian coffee...
The antique cake mixer on the shelf brings Talita back to her childhood as well as her mum's favorite plant hanging from the ceiling. Everything here has a reason and tells some of Talita's best memories ♡
