This is typically seen in runestones of the 11th Century onward; animals are exceedingly curved and thin with almond-shaped eyes and thinner, longer tendrils. This particular tattoo took eleven redraws, to ensure that the body overlayed and underlaid properly. At no point is the over-under-over pattern broken.
