In memory of the Busby Babes. Inked in 2016. Concept: The design is a tribute to the Manchester United players, nicknamed the Busby Babes, who died in the air crash on 6th February, 1958. The Munich air disaster witnessed the flight crash on its third attempt to take off from a slush-covered runway at Munich-Reim Airport. The team was returning from a European Cup match in Belgrade, Yugoslavia, having knocked Red Star Belgrade to progress to the semi-final of the competition. The crash derailed the team's title ambitions and also destroyed the nucleus of what promised to be one of the greatest generations of players in English football history.
