I really tried to be cool, but this wasn't the place for me and I ultimately didn't get what i wanted. I was way too patient with my artist and he steamrolled me. Details of my visit with my artist - he set the appointment time and arrived an hour late - once he arrived, he socialized and caught up with his coworkers about the party they had last night (I was cool with him taking time to get set up, not ignore me and disrespect my time) - socializing included a very loud and aggressive conversation where one of the artists is yelling about how he's stuck in his life (but literally won't do anything to change it) and the others basically attempting to cater to his ego to calm him down - also to calm him down, my artist basically goes on to say how he doesn't respect his clients time (he had the money at that point, i truly did not feel comfortable enough to ask for it back without the possibility of friction) - socializing also included my artist playing with 2 pet snakes owned by the piercer in the shop - socializing included continually asking me if I wanted to smoke (while I'm still waiting on the couch), after telling them I cant because I have to drive. - socializing included all of the artists leaving and one left his child in the shop with me (I know none of these people) I didnt get my tattoo until 4 hours after my appointment. I handed him a simple drawing, something classic and elegant like the woman I intended to represent for this piece Instead, I got his cartoon interpretation and after I mentioned all the details he replied - 'yeah we dont do no simple tattoos around here.' Im grateful for the experience regardless, I'm just never coming back. maybe they should have just closed that day. You will definitely hear plenty of in house business convos that should be kept for the in house participants.
