Second and, by far, the most painful tattoo that I ever got. It's an ode to my favorite book and even though it's been five years, it still looks just as vivid as the day I got it. I have to say this is one of my favorite tattoos that I have and I love the simplicity of it.

Got this because it reminded me on the intro of BioShock Infinite, but in a more traditional and minimalistic. I really love the rain detail and the waves.“I went on a 14 day silent retreat and it was probably the hardest thing I’ve ever done.Towards the end of the two weeks I had what I think I can only describe as an out of body experience during the 4am session. I felt an overwhelming bubble of sadness and guilt literally rise within me but it wasn’t mine I was just experiencing it for someone else, I opened my eyes in floods of soundless tears that also felt not mine.I forgave my mum there and then, and it felt natural that I would stand by her no matter what, no more distancing myself, no more pushing her to get help, I would just be there unconditionally.When I left and came back home my mum told me she had something to tell me. She’d woken up really early in the morning (around 4am) and she said it was then clear what she had to do and why she had to do it.I believe I felt what my mum was feeling. Make the most out of it. I don't regret any minute I spent with my dog. There wasn't a second that I feel wasted.I even miss the late night walks where it rained and both of us didn't want to got out, but we had to. I miss being laughed at every time I come home. It left an emptiness when he was gone that was hard to fill. So enjoy the time you have together to the fullest. This is the style I love doing and I enjoy the most. Freehand on fingers. I love it.Not even going to feel slightly ashamed that I got this idea from the internet. I love sci-fi and planets so yeah. This tattoo was also my fastest, taking a whopping 20 minutes.
