Evil and Love Tattoo

Brooklyn , NY
Evil and Love was established in January of 2013 with the intent of creating an environment where tattoo culture could amalgamate with the various facets of art and design. Evil and Love rests within a nest of creatives and local businesses just over the Pulaski Bridge in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. The shop is both a tattoo parlor and gallery for artwork and apparel. We are home to a team of artists who create unique designs for their clients with a variety of different styles including traditional americana, realism, geometric, neo-traditional and watercolor. Our artists come from backgrounds ranging from painting and illustration to graphic design and animation. Our hours are Tuesday through Friday 1pm to 9pm and Sunday and Monday 1pm to 8pm. Walk-ins are welcome but if you have custom work we prefer to have an in-person consultation first where we can discuss your design, schedule and budget. We typically charge by the hour and price is dependent on individual artists and based on the tattoo's complexity, size and color. Our shop minimum is $100 and our artists' rates range from $150 to $250 an hour. When coming to us for a consultation you should consider bringing in reference material to give us an idea of the tattoo you want. If your design requires us to draw or redesign existing artwork you will be asked to leave a deposit for your artists to work out your final design.

Ying studied design at a college level and found tattooing to be the most satisfying way to illustrate her art with passion and precision. She is predominately self taught, but through years of shop experience she is able to translate her visions to unique designs. She incorporates multiple techniques including stippling, geometric shapes, and abstract elements.
