read this review before making a mistake that will be with u forever! This is an honest brutally truthful review because the other "reviews" clearly depict something you WILL NOT BE paying for. Entrusting Rich Verdino as a tattoo artist was the biggest mistake I could've made. Now a 1k half sleeve has turned into years of saving and researching how to rework the mess he laughed away. This mans moral compass is just as bad as his work ethic. I will say, I am sour but I have attached the ridiculous half ass work he didn't even finish and that's proof enough. Before reading this please keep in mind I spent 1k with this guy and he didn't even finish his tattoo and didn't bother to even put any EFFORT INTO A TATTOO (A TATTOO!!!) so imagine how much thought he'll put into your 100.00 tattoo. I am hoping I can reach a few people so they know what they are getting into especially people looking for there first tattoo.
I got a half sleeve done by one of the artists named Rich. He was inappropriate at all times and kept constantly rescheduling with me. In a vague summary, this man disregarded the design I gave him, inappropriately groped me, inappropriately spoke to me, stole my money AND tried to embarrass and slander my name. I did not no this man prior to getting a quick walk in tattoo of a quote which is also at best mediocre. I was young, naive and overly excited to have an artist that I thought would tattoo me the sleeve I've been wanting since I was 15 and this moron took advantage of it. His behavior in itself should be enough to not want to deal with this guy but to add more shit to the pile his work ethic and talent is equally as bad. After being cancelled on and ignored for months, He then stole the remaining 300 dollars I gave him even though he didn't finish his tattoo and stated that it is his money now.....this guy should not be TATTOoinng, not only because the talent just isn't there, but also because as an older "professional" he couldn't even look passed his own selfish wants and with no care in the world scribbled a half ass tattoo on my arm and left me high and dry and then STOLE the remaining money that I could've used to get someone else to finish it (worst case scenario).
Overall, stay away.... this isn't a case of an artist having an off day or an artist making a mistake. If you are still unsure about what I am saying I advise you to ask around about this guy because my story isn't something new. There are hundreds of studios so speaking from one tattoo lover to another I wouldn't waste another minute on this dude. The fact that Rich has had a pattern of similar situations, as the one I've shared, is not only frustrating but also quite frankly a huge slap in the balls to actual artists. You'll absolutely regret getting any work done by this guy. I'm not only speaking as a disgruntled client I'm speaking as someone who knows tattooing and this guy is definitely iffy.
To prove my point further, (because honestly Rich singlehandedly costed me far too much financially and emotionally...imagine having the worst unfinished tattoo just in ur arm like I've been getting tattoos since I was 15 and this is what I have to show for let alone see evry single second?!), pictures don't lie and I will update this when I get this reworked (4 years later finally found someone who can rework heavy handed black tattoos) mid January so whomever is searching can see side by side comparison of what a honest talented artists work looks like in comparison to his. At the end of the day talk is just talk, the cringe worthy picture below proves my point perfectly. I am hoping I can avoid someone the headache, frustration, regret and unnecessary drama that I had and still have to deal with. After rich told me he would be keeping the money I gave him to finish the tattoo he didn't (400.00 on top of whatever else he already did) I never heard back from him or anyone from the shop again...
