About the Studio

Thick as Thieves opened in 2004 with the vision of being an old school tattoo parlor that provides top quality custom tattooing. Conveniently located in the heart of Denver, Colorado, Thick as Thieves has a bright, clean, welcoming environment with the eclectic feel that you would hope for in a tattoo shop. Our artists have traveled the world attending tattoo conventions and doing guest spots. We have won awards for our tattooing and art work. In 2012, owner Mike Pinto landed a spot on the national TV show “TLC’s Americas Worst Tattoos” where he was given the opportunity to turn a mistake into a beautiful tattoo. He has become recognized as one of the premier tattoo artists in Colorado. Scott Ferguson is the official tattoo artist for Sailor Jerry brand rum in Colorado. Thick as Thieves added Jeremy Barber, his 20 years experience makes him well versed in Japanese and traditional American tattooing. In addition to winning awards for his tattooing, Jeremy designs skateboards for some of the major skateboard companies in the country. Thick as Thieves has some of the finest and most experienced tattoo artists in the state, with over 50 years combined experience versed in all styles of tattooing. Each artists passion is to help our clients achieve their personal tattoo vision. Additionally, Thick as Thieves brings some of the biggest names in tattooing to Colorado. I guess I should elaborate since the shop wants to claim that since this was my "first" tattoo and a busy night that the artist didn't have time to connect or to be friendly to me. Details. my number was called just for me to be told that I need to wait (why call my number then?) so my artist could finish her sandwich. I got called over and walked to the table. NO WORDS wore spoken to me other than where do you want it. Not hello, or a how are you.. nothing. SO I sat down and she went to work. I have two tattoos behind my ear. The tattoo I received Friday was my first larger piece. Halfway through the tattoo I was dripping sweat and tried to start a conversation. Hey this is my second tat, and how long have you been here? I got a shrug and a one-worded response. So there was nothing I could do but sit there and wait for this miserable experience to be over. Once finished she stood up and claimed to be done and called another artist over to rudely show that she even tatted the little 69 number from the template bc I asked that of her. Both then joked about how I didn't pay for that, just the image. oh and the 13 is a 23 just to clarify. I work in the service industry, so I completely understand busy business. Not only did I have to wait for my artist to finish eating in front of me, but I was subjected to a rude connection. super unfortunate.
