***** Do not Book an Appt or give a Deposit to this place before Reading this Review ***** - Had a nightmarish experience with this Shop and Artist Bradley Silver - Went to the artist for shading and detail work of an existing large piece. Asked for light, 3 dimensional shading, Instead the artist did large, sloppy black splotches over large sections of my arm. Really poor quality work. In particular, the most important parts of the piece, the Front Bicep and Sideview of the tattoo (the most important visual parts) the Tatt work were done horribly and splotchy. Also made clear that I wanted to wait to do a central section of the arm until we picked out a pattern for it. The artist went ahead and tattooed that section with heavy shading anyway against what I had communicated. I’m now having to spend $5,500 on laser removal of the ink work cause it looks awful. It will take a year to do and it is very painful, a total Nightmare. On top of that: having paid everything owed ~ $3,000 in total (incl 20% tip to the artist) the artist and shop are still trying to hold onto my addtl $630 deposit on top of that. When I did go back to ask for my deposit, the artist said the shop had my deposit, then the shop said that the artist had my deposit and they played this game back-and-forth over who had my money for weeks and weeks. I've made abundantly clear that I have no interest in a third session; they are trying to hold on to my deposit claiming it ensures lost time to the artist for a cancelled appointment, but there was no future appointment booked + tattoo shops have been closed in full for three months for Covid-19. Shady AF. In addition the shop had all sorts of other lies and misrepresentations: Before I put the deposit down they told me (in person and in writing) that for paying the full day rate I was getting eight hours of tattoo consulting and tattoo work in total (from 12 to 8pm). After I put my deposit down the first session was 6 hours, the Second session was 6 1/2 hours. Not wanting to disturb the artist and have him do bad work (ironically) I pulled one of the workers to the side the second session and politely brought it up to him. His words were "Oh wow, that’s really messed up, that should’ve never happened OK I’ll look into it” and never got back to me on it. Addtl Details: In between our sessions I emailed the artist a couple of times to get his input on different design patterns we might choose for the piece. He ignored my emails for weeks and then when he did reply he was super abrasive and hostile about communicating design ideas. In person he was super insistent that I choose out things the day of our sessions to be permanently put on my body on the spot, spontaneously. I made clear to him that I wasn’t comfortable with that, but I’d rather have time at home to look at it and think about it, but he was super disagreeable and insisted I just choose the designs the day of tattooing on the spot. After the second session I knew something didn’t look right about the work and so I contacted the shop twice to try to make a third appointment (Thinking that it could be fixed and made to look great on the next appt). But as my partner who I saw in Cali in early May said “You can only add more ink, you can’t take away all the dark splotches. He did work that looks really bad, don’t go back to him again". My friends have all made similar comments about how it looks since. (Also note, the shop charged me an addtl $50 for an in-person preconsultation and most shops do that for free) A Horrible Horrible Experience
