Possibly a shoulder/half sleeve piece with background. This is for my dear friend Penny who passed away from cancer two years ago. I want the tattoo to do her justice, therefore I haven't found the funds nor an artist good enough for this. "You get what you pay for" I can't put a price tag on this. I didnt get to save the flower right so that i could keep it forever and i hate myself for it everyday as i miss my grandma very much. Yellow roses were her favorite flowers and to have this yellow rose on my body foever would be the best thing i could do in memory of her. I think I want this for my suicide awareness tribute tattoo. It represents “emptiness”. The feeling of a parent who has lost a child to suicide. I haven’t lost a child but I know some who have... and I almost did. When i first saw it, it captivated me. Not only is she my grandmother but she raised me to be the mother and women I am today she is my MOTHER. She raised me since I was 4 years old. After fighting for 8 months she lost her battle to lung cancer on Jan 6, 2016. I know I probably won't win but this is my dream tattoo, to carry her every where I go. She served 21years in the airforce retiring as a SSgt, met the Tuskegee Airman and was even stationed with the famous Sinbad. She taught me how to fish, cook, be independent and to always stand my ground.I was her honey Pooh pooh. I would love nothing more than to win this amazing opportunity. If not that is ok, I'm sure there will be another opportunity. Thanks for your time. This is my beautiful grandmother/mother she recently passed away from stage 4 lung cancer in January of this year and I would love nothing more than to carry her with me everyday.
