Unfortunately this is when everybody was getting tribal tattoos. The middle is supposed to be a Maltese cross symbolizing My Life as a firefighter. I plan on getting this reworked.I had Snoopy added, as if he is painting, for my Mom. She was a phenomenal painter, and loved everything Snoopy, lol.My first tattoo when I turned 18 was the rose and butterfly! I later have added to my ankle the infinity symbol that my best friend also got on her shoulder“I went on a 14 day silent retreat and it was probably the hardest thing I’ve ever done.Towards the end of the two weeks I had what I think I can only describe as an out of body experience during the 4am session. I felt an overwhelming bubble of sadness and guilt literally rise within me but it wasn’t mine I was just experiencing it for someone else, I opened my eyes in floods of soundless tears that also felt not mine.I forgave my mum there and then, and it felt natural that I would stand by her no matter what, no more distancing myself, no more pushing her to get help, I would just be there unconditionally.When I left and came back home my mum told me she had something to tell me. She’d woken up really early in the morning (around 4am) and she said it was then clear what she had to do and why she had to do it.I believe I felt what my mum was feeling. Fire and WaterThis is 2 separate tattoos. The little cherub was done first then a year later I had the stars and hearts added.I had a blast on this Trash Polka piece! I had the pleasure of continuing this leg piece the other day. This use to be just the stars, but it was plain and boring, so I had the stars outlined in black and purple swirls added on. Stars I got when I was 19 and the swirls and outlining was added on when I was 21.This is placed on the side of my arm where my elbow bends.#starsThis was the first day I got when I turned 18 in 2004
