I loved working on this one as its subject is very close to me. “There's something poetic about the basis of life being greater than the known universe. Similarly with wave-particle duality, I was always taught that electrons were subatomic particles so to discover that they're also waves opens up a whole new bunch of questions that I'm looking to answer. “[...] My grandparents in France had this oak tree in the back garden which later seeded in my parents garden. As I don’t live in France, not sure if I will return, move elsewhere, or stay here I don't quite know if I will be able to grow one from the same tree’s seed. Towards the end of the two weeks I had what I think I can only describe as an out of body experience during the 4am session. I felt an overwhelming bubble of sadness and guilt literally rise within me but it wasn’t mine I was just experiencing it for someone else, I opened my eyes in floods of soundless tears that also felt not mine. I forgave my mum there and then, and it felt natural that I would stand by her no matter what, no more distancing myself, no more pushing her to get help, I would just be there unconditionally. When I left and came back home my mum told me she had something to tell me. She’d woken up really early in the morning (around 4am) and she said it was then clear what she had to do and why she had to do it. I believe I felt what my mum was feeling. I still don’t know what my mum actually felt that morning but it gave her the power and motivation to change her life.”o here’s the two day marathon from the other day. Clients first tattoo for this tough kid. Gonna wrap around the arm next month. Really a challenge for artist and client both to sit this long but I really love doing big pieces that come together when planning it out and pacing myself for the effort. This craft is definitely not easy but it’s all worth the reward at the end. Blessed to do this for a living and always continuing to learn and grow as an artist and being.
