Sailor Jerry tattoo flash painting of rose with banner done with watercolor. I put a lot of effort into this little painting by outlining it using a #2 pencil and a mono pen and I finished it in time before my night shift began.

This use to be just the stars, but it was plain and boring, so I had the stars outlined in black and purple swirls added on. Stars I got when I was 19 and the swirls and outlining was added on when I was 21. This is placed on the side of my arm where my elbow bends. #stars

First actual portrait. By saying actual i mean first time or first attempt to just shade directly from the stencil without using a hardline. Ive tattooed human faces before but outlining or using bloodlines around the facial features kept me within my comfort zone. You only get better by challenging yourself and pushing yourself harder so i wanted to do it right to show myself i could. This is for my aunt Jenny that had passed away. Roses were her favorite flower and she loved the color purple. I wanted the red outlining behind the tattoo to make it stand out and for people to notice it.
