I got this tattoo in memory of one of my gradeschool teachers who meant a lot to me and made me into the English language/grammar loving person I am today. She helped me through a lot of dark times and I miss her so much. The pink boxing glove represents breast cancer and the gray one represents brain cancer. I have them "nailed" to me because she "hung up her gloves" when she couldn't fight anymore. This tattoo means the most to me. It is dedicated to my sister who pasted away in the summer 2017, after 3 years of fighting against cancer. She was only 18 years old when she passed away. I got the tattoo 1/2 year after her death, and it was also my first one. I call it “there is no better place than peace” because that was her motto, because she didn’t wan’t anyone to cry over her death.
