The claddagh- a Celtic symbol, the hands stand for friendship and they form a heart that stands for love. The crown is normally a traditional crown, standing for loyalty...however I felt our saviors crown symbolized a spiritual and physical loyalty beyond all others. The cross was an addition not common with claddaghs. The lyrics are from my baba's favorite song "you are my sunshine". My Aunt, Uncle, and Brother each have a different line. And Phil. 4:13 is a verse I like to stand by "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me". And to top it all off, my beloved mother designed and drew the original for me! I want to get something similar on my right shoulder and incorporate a Celtic knot and a family crest.
